Our Expertise
Our team comprises Jim Smith and Heather King, who developed and managed a Darwin based marine ecotourism business from its inception in 2007 until its sale in October 2023.
During our ownership, Sea Darwin earned both Territory and National Tourism Awards and built a reputation for delivering exceptional, sustainable ecotourism experiences. The business achieved and maintained independently audited certifications, including Advanced Ecotourism and Respecting Our Culture, reflecting our long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship, cultural respect and outstanding visitor experiences.
Our involvement with Sea Darwin concluded when the business was sold in 2023. The experience, standards and values that earned its industry recognition under our management, remain the foundation of everything we do today, and we continue to apply the same commitment to excellence, sustainability and authentic visitor experiences in every project we undertake.
The combined expertise and qualifications of Jim and Heather span the fields of marine science, human service management, administrative decision-making, journalism, business management, corporate governance, and ecotourism.
